Photo of Chet Chet Breau was born January 7th, 1962. He is the grandson of Country Hall of Fame Inductees Hal Lone Pine and Betty Cody, RCA Recording Artists who had top ten hits. Chet Atkins played on their recordings and they also toured with Hank Snow. Chet is the son of guitar genius Lenny Breau whom Chet Atkins said was the greatest guitar player who ever lived.

Chet began studying music under his father's direction at just seven years of age. He has played in front of Chet Atkins, played with Randy Bachman and Joe Pass. After graduating with honours at the Los Angeles M.I.T, Chet founded the Lenny Breau School of Music in Winnipeg, Canada in honour of his father. When he's not teaching he does studio work, radio shows and live concerts. He has most recently released a CD in tribute to his father, where he displayed a vast array of styles. The CD was recorded in 4 days.

"The first and last time I heard Chet play and sing was at the Memorial Service for the man too gentle to live among wolves. 'You've Got A Friend' was the music he chose. Jump into the gene pool, as they say in the Nelson Branch of the extended family tree. The Breau St. Germain family has many loving friends, me along them. Chet is carrying the torch that burns brightly in the heart and soul, lighting our memories of the past, taking us to his present enlightened state of being, dearlessly. The C.D. (recently released Lone Pine III) covers, front and back, and the liner notes within, speak volumes... his lyrics sing soulfully... songs to his father and to the rest of us... the best of us, he is... deep sigh. I know you can feel me there. Love is. Celebrate it. I do. "
